This was our 24th visit. We also visited on...
The Black Bull Hotel situated in the Market Town of High Bentham, perfectly placed between the villages of Ingleton and Clapham on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales
We stock a variety of Thwaites beers and supply a great range of foods with some very special offers.
There was no chance of seeing the full moon on this run as we started at 11am! Recognising that one of the main purposes of Hashing is to enjoy lunch afterwards and as the pub only did lunchtime meals, the hares decided to start early.
The run seems to have been fairly normal. No Hash crashes were reported although some hashers lost trail and, at some point, cattle blocking the path caused concern but unfortunately there was no beer stop! It seems that Dormouse had parked on the roadside but left the car door wide open. Wears the Soap drove to find him, then drove back to lock the car up but took the beer with him!
I don't know much about what happened after I took a short cut and had a drink once we got back to Bentham, but I do know that some Hashers carried on towards Low Bentham before heading back to the pub and we did have the traditional circle.
