Two enthusiastic, energetic and entertaining Newcastle hashers - Rectum and Fishflaps were volunteered for the Sunday hangover hash and having got to know the various exceptional abilities of the LVH3 hashers over the weekend set a hash of two parts.
Fast & Furious for or runners and Gentle & Casual for the walking group - both in the pleasant surroundings of Threlkeld.
To get the best out of the area life threatening road crossings were necessary. I can report that we counted them out and then counted them in. Unfortunately we didnt lose anybody.
The rambo types were in for a surprise where, upon our return to Threlkeld and ten steps from the On Inn they were sent upwards to Blencathra followed by Skiddaw and Scafell (at least it felt like it), eventually getting back just in time to meet the walkers ambling in.
A brilliantly set hash with markings that kept front runners challenged and using the Newcastle FRB instead of fish-hooks. The hares accompanied the two packs, evolving the markings en-route and keeping spirits high.
Timings were perfect and everyone gave the hares a big thumbs up and a small down down.
Big thanks for your efforts Rectum and Fishflaps - much appreciated
On On!
