This was our 1st visit to this On Inn.
Hello Hashers, Baldbrick here, scribing r*n 481, the Sunday hash on the quiet away weekend. Although few in number we had a cracking time as usual. This hash was set in a narrow, steep-sided gorge, so in the words of the old song, we knew the only way is up, and up some more. The route was GORGEous, the views terrific and miles away in the distance we could see Stoodley Pike, which we had visited the day before on the ten mile, four and a half hour marathon set by Upper and Scouse Count.
This hash was mercifully short which was fine by me because I had to keep telling my legs to stop screaming. The On Inn was The Staff Of Life which was a lovely old world pub with excellent beers and good pubgrub, which can be said for all FOUR pubs we visited this weekend. Well done to all hares concerned. To all you walking wounded, poorly and non travelling hashers I can only say you missed a real treat. The only downside to the weekend is that LVH3 is now 200 quid out of pocket.
Yer old mate Baldbrick. On On
