This was our 1st visit. We also visited on...
The sun always shines on the Lune Valley Hash - NOT!
But today the moon joined us - or at least 3 members of the First UK Full Moon hash - namely Smartarse, Kebab and Panther - good to meet other hashers with a wealth of ideas!
A novel start to the hash today as we were met by the cameraman from the Visitor - we should hit the newsstands this week thanks to No More Cum. So at 11.05 we set off to see what Morticia and Wednesday had in store for us.
Along from the Stork we hit a check - back towards Lancaster or onto the Estuary - Bubbles announces - "can't be left unless we're heading for the sea" - but False Trail was called from the right and so we set off for the Estuary - hoping that we weren't going paddling again.
The social pack was joined by a mystery runner - Lollipop - from Edinburgh and Longbridge - his muddy legs betrayed the fact that he had already been running that morning and he soon passed us by to catch up the FRBs.
As we ran round Glasson, through pub car parks and industrial estates, raising comments from waitresses in cafes and women getting ready for Antiques Fairs - a day of much camera work Pick Me Up and Forever Blowing posed in front of the stunning backdrop of the Power Stations for Smartarse. Past the school and marina and down on to the canal we trotted, well walked actually whilst Hashdrunk, Bubbles, Lurch, Lollipop and the rambos did all the checks.
At Thurnham Hall the split came - only Slackbladder and No More Cum fell for this one - a good 3 mile leg, apparently - the wimps had plenty of time for a few cans at the bucket before they arrived home looking decidedly wet and tired.
Loads of Down Downs:
On On Inn to the Stork where we were joined by Timmy Taylor!
